Outdoor
Weddings
Abundant with scenic vistas, mysterious coves, magical mountain-tops
with forested glens and even glacier-white, sandy beaches, the pristine
beauty and natural splendor of Lake Tahoe creates a majesty, an outdoor
ambiance, for any type of wedding and reception request!
The Dream-Maker’s Outdoor Weddings are possibly the very favorite
venue to offer to any bride and groom... just the wedding couple,
the celebrant and one witness, with the ceremony performed at the
top
of the mountain or the at water’s edge... this
just might be the perfect dream come true. Or, this ceremony idea
was a dream that the bride and groom had, but family obligations have
now created a much larger function than the wedding couple had in
mind. Call The Dream-Maker® in Lake Tahoe to accommodate any wedding/reception
guest list. The Mountain Top ceremony is available from mid spring
to late fall, weather permitting. At peak summer tourist
season, Mountain Top ceremonies are preferred, offering amazing views
and allowing for more privacy. Lakeside ceremonies can be performed
year round, but mid-summer couples usually prefer early morning or
evening lakeside weddings due to the increase in tourist traffic.
Lakeside
cere monies can be organized by The Dream-Maker® at the water’s
edge, keeping the entire event extremely intimate. Mother Nature quietly
offers her flawless and perfect gift to the wedding couple... a backdrop
of silver, granite boulders with sparkling, sapphire skies blending
into crystal, blue waters. Hence, the Native American Pauite name
given to our area means Da’aow, "Lake In The Sky". These weddings
can be performed year-round.
Our
entire Dream-Maker® staff could impeccably custom design your outdoor
wedding and attend to all the special details imaginable... even down
to locking in on that perfect tee off time for the groom and groomsmen
at one of Tahoe’s incredible golf courses, while the bride and bridesmaids
relax before the wedding on a private yacht or boat cruise, including
a completely catered luncheon.
Lakeside
weddings officiated by one of The Dream-Maker’s six, non-denominational
celebrants (wedding officiates or ministers) can take place right
on a Tahoe beach, perhaps at sunset, or, in a panoramic, lake view,
cathedral-beamed ceiling living room of a lake shore property. In
winter, we specialize in ceremonies directly in front of a river-rock
fireplace, located in a living room with spectacular view and impeccable
amenities.
Lakeside
receptions coordinated by The Dream-Maker®, whether small and
intimate, or large and luxurious, are also one of our most significantly
dramatic functions that The Dream-Maker® can provide, orchestrating
any detail that one can think of... beaches, estates or homes with
decks and lawns, white-carpeted condominiums; private facilities reserved
just for your private party... all of the above ,with stunning lake
views, are available year-round, depending upon availability. If the
wedding couple’s budget and schedule allow, The Dream-Maker® will
even plan a personal itinerary of a day-long site tour to inspect
and find the perfect accommodations, as well as the ultimate ceremony
and reception site... keeping in mind that dancing and dining under
the Tahoe stars is the ultimate!
Can you guess the name of the
daytime TV star whom the Dream-Maker married Tahoe lakeside?
Peter Paul Reckell... Bo, of Days of Our Lives!!

Dream-Maker not only marries couples... we also marry families
*
Photo Packages include a choice of cameras from
24 photos taken on the Digital
Nikon and sent to you on a mini-CD, or 24 exposures taken on 35mm Nikon film
camera with undeveloped roll given to couple, at completion of
wedding, to develop and print.
1. 24x
Exposures on Professional 35mm Film Camera. For couples trying
to save money, who don't mind doing the footwork and cost for photos
for friends and family copies. The film will be professionally
taken, with great equipment and then given to couple to develop and
print. The savings are that the couple can print as many
copies as they wish for a much lower cost. Unless otherwise
requested, the 35mm film option is the default in the Sapphire or
Crystal Waters packages.
2.
24x Photos taken on Digital Camera and mini-CD of photo/files mailed
to you. Note: Allow ten days to two weeks for delivery.
How Good Is
Digital Quality - or - What Is The Megapixal Rating Of 35mm Film: Recently,
we married a couple and found out that the groom was a
developer/programmer for the digital photography industry, working
for one of the well-known camera brands. We asked him three
times what the Megapixial of 35mm film was. The first two answers
were, "we, in the industry, don't talk about this number." He
really didn't want to tell us the Megapixal equivalent of film.
Finally, the third time the subject came up, he said, "alright, 35mm
film is 18-20 Megapixal." We were obviously surprised. He said
this it is why we don't talk about it. When we finally equal 35mm
film we will brag about it, but until we get there we allow people
to be happy with their 6, 7 or 8 Megapixal digital cameras. He said
that the best part of present day digital cameras is that they are
so very convenient, taking the need to purchase film and having to
go to developers for belated results out of the equation. He
continued, some day we will equal and then surpass film, but we are
not there yet. Dream-Maker has a great digital SLR camera and
offers this as a photo possibility, but until digital equals, or
surpasses film, our first choice is to the film medium, where
enlargements come out the very best they can be. Also, when
you get 35mm film developed you can have a CD of digital files
burned, so you have the best of both film as well as digital photos
to email, etc. And, having your negatives makes the cost of
reprints a fraction of the cost of what a photographer would charge
for additional prints.
*
Special: If you have ordered a Sapphire or a Crystal Waters package
with 24x, 35 film photos, you can upgrade to 36x, 35mm photos for
only $50.00, plus tax, which this upgrade is usually a $175 value.
